Matrix LED headlights

The intelligent, camera-based Matrix LED headlights with the typical Porsche 4-point light signature offer clear visibility, even in difficult weather conditions.

Highlights:
• The glare-free high beam makes it possible to use the high beam continuously. Vehicles ahead or oncoming traffic are masked out in the high beam distribution, which is camera-based.
• Functions such as the additional high beam and segment-specific dimming of reflective traffic signs further increase safety.
• The typical Porsche 4-point light design characterises the front of the vehicle in the daytime running lights, indicator lights and in the dipped beam.

All functions described are subject to system limits and require permanent monitoring by the driver.

- Active Parking Assistance
The system automatically detects parking spaces and measures their size. Once the system has signalled that the parking space is a sufficient size, the driver can initiate and control the parking process. The system automatically takes over the steering and the forward and backward movement of the vehicle. The Active Parking Assistance is able to park the vehicle in parallel and perpendicular parking spaces.

- Manoeuvring Assist
The Manoeuvring Assist can, where system limitations allow, prevent collisions through braking in tight and complex manoeuvring situations when reversing.

Note: the functions described support the driver where system limitations allow. The driver must monitor driving style at all times and intervene in cases of doubt

Traffic sign recognition

- Traffic sign recognition uses a camera and navigation data to detect speed limits, no overtaking zones (start and end) and infer local traffic codes (from boundary signs). Information is displayed in the instrument cluster
- The cornering notification feature supplements the traffic sign recognition function with navigation-data-based direction information in advance of tight corners

Lane Change Assist

Alerts the driver to vehicles rapidly approaching from behind or vehicles travelling at the same speed in potential blind spots. The warning is emitted by lights in the exterior mirrors. The function is activated by the driver using Porsche Communication Management (PCM) and is available from approximately 10 km/h – 250 km/h.

Below this speed range, Turn Assist (rear) also comes to the driver's aid by monitoring the area to the rear of the vehicle in turning situations

Rear Cross Traffic Alert
The Rear Cross Traffic Alert uses the rear radar and, where system limitations allow, warns the driver when reversing slowly of oncoming traffic when the parking aid is activated. The system warns, for example, of critically approaching vehicles when leaving a perpendicular parking space. The information is provided in stages – visually on the PCM screen, audibly and, if necessary, with a warning jolt of the brakes.

Exit warning
The exit warning warns of other vehicles approaching from behind when the door is opened. The system uses the LED lighting in the interior door handle as a warning and delays the opening of the doors.

Lane Keeping Assist

Camera-based system for automatic detection of divider line markings on the road. Actively countersteers if your vehicle inadvertently threatens to leave the current lane. System is available from approximately 65 km/h - 250 km/h.

Warn and Brake Assist including pedestrian protection

Detects the area ahead of the vehicle. Within the system limitations, an impending frontal collision with other vehicles, pedestrians or cyclists can be detected both in the urban and extra-urban speed range.

The system warns the driver visually, acoustically and if necessary through a braking jolt. Where required, the system can support the driver's braking or initiate partial or full deceleration in order to reduce the collision speed or prevent the collision in some circumstances.

Driver Awareness Detection

By tracking of driving behaviour and user interaction of the driver, there will be optical and acoustic warnings if distraction or indications of tiredness are detected.

The integrated hardware supports 4G/5G NSA (non-standalone) technology. Insofar as services require connectivity via the integrated hardware, the availability of a 4G/5G NSA network is a prerequisite for their functioning.
