When activated and at the correct speed, the vehicle is able to detect suitable parking spaces by measuring the space while driving past, and then automatically taking control of the steering to perform parking maneuvers in parallel and perpendicular parking spaces. The driver remains in the vehicle and controls the braking and acceleration of the vehicle.

Traffic Sign Recognition

Lane Change Assist (LCA)

Lane Change Assist (LCA): Alerts the driver to vehicles rapidly approaching from behind or vehicles travelling at the same speed in potential blind spots.


Rear Cross Traffic Alert: Uses the rear radar and, where system limitations allow, warns the driver when reversing slowly of oncoming traffic when the parking aid is activated. The system warns, for example, of critically approaching vehicles when leaving a perpendicular parking space. The information is provided in stages – visually on the PCM screen, audibly and, if necessary, with a jolt of the brakes.

Surround View with Active Parking Support

3D Surround View: The 3D display allows the driver to influence the perspective displayed, resulting in a better all-round view. Images are displayed on the screen of the Porsche Communication Management (PCM).


Active Parking Assistance: The system automatically detects parking spaces and measures their size. Once the system has signaled that the parking space is of sufficient size, the driver can initiate and control the parking process. The system automatically takes over the steering and the forward and reverse movement of the vehicle. The Active Parking Assistance is able to park the vehicle in parallel and perpendicular parking spaces.


Maneuvering Assist: The Maneuvering Assist can, where system limitations allow, prevent collisions through braking in tight and complex maneuvering situations when reversing.


Note: Active Parking Assistance can help you park your vehicle. However, it may not function correctly if one or more of the parking sensors are damaged, dirty or covered, or exposed to weather conditions (snow, fog, heavy rain) that might interfere with sensor operation. Before using, always inspect the parking area with your own eyes to ensure that it is clear of items that might be harmed or might harm your vehicle.
