Panoramic Roof with Variable Light Control

The multi-layered glass roof features a switchable liquid crystal film with nine individual segments and can be immediately switched between completely clear and matt using the centre display or touch control panel. When clear, the extensive glass roof provides a light-flooded interior and generous views to the outside.
It is also possible to make part of the segments appear 40% matt ('Semi') or 60% matt ('Bold') according to a predefined pattern. In addition, the individual segments can be switched from matt to clear again one after the other in a dynamic progression using the touch functionality.
Thanks to the multi-layer structure of the glass roof, it offers highly effective UV and infrared protection, meaning that the heat input into the vehicle is so low that a mechanical blind is not necessary.
Variable Light Control ensures that there is no glare from the sun. What's more, the glass roof offers greater headroom while also improving the feeling of having lots of space.
When the vehicle is switched off, the roof automatically switches to the opaque, matt setting and stores the last setting for the next time the vehicle is switched on.
