Burmester® 3D High-End Surround Sound System

The Burmester® High-End 3D Surround Sound System has 21 speakers with a 2-way center system and a 400-watt active subwoofer. The system delivers a total output of 1,455 watts. The speaker baskets of the low and mid-range speakers are made from die-cast aluminum. In combination with the highly efficient neodymium magnets, this not only improves the efficiency of the loudspeakers, but also ensures improved
dynamics during music playback. The end stages of the bass channels, which control the loudspeakers in the front and rear doors and the subwoofer, now feature Class-D technology. This reduces loss, enabling even greater output reserves for bass playback. The unique Burmester® Air Motion Transformer is extremely lightweight thanks to its special aluminum damping, meaning the ratio of minimum vibratory masses to maximum membrane area is almost perfect. This produces a very fine, clean and clear treble range without any sharpness. Voices and musical instruments sound realistic and clear. The Sound Enhancer improves the sound quality of numerous digital sources and can restore the quality of compressed source material, such as MP3s streamed via the Internet. The Sound Enhancer removes bandwidth restrictions, unwanted echoes and dynamic restrictions, thus significantly improving the sound experience. The underlying algorithm significantly improves the quality of music playback in the treble range and in terms of dynamics in particular.

The Auro 3D® format has revolutionized the sound experience throughout the entire automotive
sector. The system can create a realistic concert hall atmosphere in a car without using a simple
spatial effect program, as found in cinemas. Together with Galaxy Studios, the global benchmark for perfect music playback, a special algorithm was developed that conveys the kind of perfect 3D impression during music playback that is normally found only in concert halls. Using Auro 3D® technology, a dynamic 3D sound experience can be generated from any source material. Two additional loudspeakers in the A-pillar help to produce the unique soundscape in the car. With all of these technological details and improvements, the Burmester® High-End 3D Surround Sound System delivers a highly evocative music experience.
