Porsche InnoDrive including Active Lane Keeping
Expansion of Adaptive Cruise Control by additional functions:
Porsche InnoDrive offers optimum regulation of driving speed based on navigation data and radar and video sensor technology to deliver greater comfort, increased fuel efficiency and the customary Porsche driving feel. Driving speed is predictively adapted to speed restrictions and road topography (gradients, corners). At the same time, Porsche InnoDrive controls acceleration, deceleration and gear selection. The system's predictive capability of up to 3km and real-time optimisation of driving strategy enable a harmonious and fuel-saving drive.
Active Lane Keeping extends the adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping functionality on major inter-urban roads and motorways. The system follows the queue of traffic ahead and lane markings, within the limits of the system, and keeps the vehicle in the middle of the lane by continuous steering adjustments – even in congested conditions
The driver receives an additional Assist screen in the instrument cluster. Up to three lanes are displayed, which show the objects next to the vehicle (truck, car and motorcycle) in a 3D environment and the course of the route.
The Intersection Assist can warn the driver (visually, audibly and with a jolt of the brakes) if crossing or oncoming road users are overlooked at an intersection
